Wedding Photographer Cleveland, Aaron
...as Courtney, his bride, walked down the wedding aisle. In a beautiful National Park surrounded by loved ones, they pulled out their vow books, exchanged their vows and declared their love for one another. As each word rang out in the forest, it reminded me why I love photographing weddings.
It all began for me in my childhood when I would go on trips at summer camp with a disposable camera in hand anticipating nostalgic photographs that would help me relive those magical times.
Now that I'm an adult I understand why those old disposable camera photos made me feel like magic. Genuine connection gripped my curiosity and now fuels me to craft candid, genuine, and timeless images for sentimental couples who cherish heartfelt connection and moments of joy.

1. How do we handle the timeline if our getting-ready spaces and venue are in different locations?
Minimizing travel tension is the secret to a relaxed morning/ wedding day. When your getting ready suites are at different sites, we build a strategic timeline buffer into your getting-ready process. This ensures we capture your heirloom details, invitation suite, and wedding rings without rushing before we head to the venue.
2. Do you recommend having a second shooter for our wedding day?
YES! Especially for capturing simultaneous moments. A second photographer allows us to document the bridal party prep and the groom's group adjustments at the exact same time. It also opens up a second shooter perspective during the ceremony, giving you both the wide view of the wedding aisle and tight, candid interactions of your guests' reactions.
3. How many hours of photography coverage do we actually need?
Most couples find that 8 to 10 hours is the sweet spot. This allows us to cover everything organically: starting with the morning flat lay styling and dress zip-up, moving all the way through your grand entrance, and wrapping up right after your late-night sparkler exit or champagne tower pour.
4. Should we do a first look, or wait until the ceremony aisle?
This completely dictates your day's pacing. Opting for a first look creates an intimate, emotional reveal before the main event, allowing you to complete your wedding party portraits and family formals before the guests arrive. This opens up your cocktail hour timeline so you can actually enjoy your signature drinks. Waiting for the wedding aisle preserves that traditional processional impact but moves all formal portraits into the mid-day gap.
5. What is an unplugged ceremony, and do you recommend it?
An unplugged ceremony is when you ask guests to put down their phones and cameras. I highly recommend it. It ensures your guests are fully present during your vow exchange and first kiss, and prevents a sea of glowing screens from obstructing the wedding aisle or ruining clean, professional angles of the processional.
6. How do you handle low-light or dimly lit church and temple ceremonies?
Darker spaces require a sophisticated technical approach. I utilize specialized low-light camera bodies and fast lenses to capture the ambient warmth of the room without being disruptive. We strictly respect all house officiant rules regarding flash photography restrictions, utilizing subtle, non-intrusive methods during the unity candle or traditional proceedings.
7. We are incredibly awkward in front of the camera. How do you 'pose' us?
Almost every couple tells me this! My style avoids stiff, frozen posing in favor of natural direction and prompts that spark genuine candid interactions. By focusing on movement and connection, your romantic couples photos will look effortlessly natural, relaxed, and true to who you are as a couple.
8. When is the best time to sneak away for sunset portraits?
We will look at the exact timing of the sun on your date and coordinate with your reception DJ or planner. The best window is usually right after dinner is served. Slipping away from the sweetheart table for just 15 minutes gives us access to soft, dreamy light for your golden hour portraits without interrupting the reception flow.
9. How do you shoot crowded, high-energy reception dance floors?
To preserve the real party atmosphere, I use a combination of advanced off-camera flash techniques and ambient light dragging. This allows me to freeze the fast-paced dance floor energy while keeping the room's ambient uplighting vibrant, capturing crisp, dynamic candid party shots of your guests.
10. Do you offer wedding albums?
YES! I specialize in creating custom heirloom artwork wedding albums that are endlessly customizable.
