A Romantic Ceremony at Westminster College

The wedding ceremony took place at the stunning historic landmark of Westminster College, located in New Wilmington, PA. The magnificent stone walls and sweeping collegiate grounds provided an elegant, storybook background for the couple to exchange their vows.

Before walking down the aisle, Christen looked absolutely breathtaking. Wearing a unique bridal gown adorned with a vibrant, pastel floral overlay cape, she brought a soft, romantic elegance to the historic property.

When Niels saw his bride, his face lit up with a smile that stayed grounded for the rest of the day. The genuine warmth radiating between them made it incredibly easy to capture those effortless, candid emotions that every Pittsburgh wedding photographer loves to document.

Following their ceremony, we explored the timeless architectural features of Westminster College for their couples’ portraits. Standing against the massive wooden doors and rustic masonry of Old Main, Christen and Niels shared a few quiet moments to let the reality of the day sink in.

Once portraits were wrapped up, the party moved just over the state border to a nearby banquet hall reception. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and completely centered around the people who mattered most.

The room was filled with soft amber uplighting, glowing indoor trees, and a head table surrounded by laughter. When it came time for the special dances, the emotion in the room was palpable.

Throughout the entire night, you could see just how much both families adored this couple.
